"How I Manage" With Adam Kovalsky

I was honored to get some inside scoop on life of a manager and whats coming next with Ital Vibes thanks to Adam Kovalsky.

Q: How long have you been doing Tour Managing work?

A: I started to do management work around the end of 2016.

Q: First band you went on tour with?

A: The first band I went out on the road with was Ital Vibes. Winter of 2016 I believe.

Q: How’d you link with Ital Vibes?

A: I first met Ital Vibes in 2016 when I was helping with an autism awareness festival that they played called the “Summer Meltdown” that has been around for 14+ years. My older brother was part of a program called Yes I Can that mixed special needs kids with regular ed kids and at the end of the year they came together alongside professionals in the entertainment industry to throw what we know as the Summer Meltdown. Not too long after that festival I linked with the IV boys and they asked me If I’d be interested In managing them and here we are today.

Q: Any new singles/albums coming out soon for Ital?

A: Yes we’re stoked to be releasing our first full length album that we will be dropping later this year! We also have some other stuff we’re working on that we plan on dropping after the album so definitely stay tuned for some more announcements In the near future!

Q: What is it like working with Ital Vibes? It’s a blast.

A: Those are all my brothers so a lot of the time It doesn’t feel like work. But that’s also because I personally love what I do. But I definitely love working with these boys on a daily basis.

Q: Favorite show you’ve done with Ital Vibes?

A: That’s a tough one. I’d have to say it was actually this year's One Love Cali Fest. Just the all around vibes of the festival and seeing how much people enjoyed our set made that one a blast. A second close one that I’d say would be a tie when it comes to my favorite show(s) would be the West Coast Roots Run we did w/ Kapu System & Rootz n Creation from Hawaii. That whole run was something I’ll personally never forget because it was all our first time personally meeting one another (and their first time on the mainland) but felt like we all knew each other for years.

Q: How has the quarantine affected you and Ital Vibes?

A: I’d say for Ital Vibes, not being able to play live shows would be the biggest way it’s affected us. Because as for us and every artist that’s our most consistent way of bringing in some type of income.

Personally for me, I’d say not being able to hangout with the ones I love would be the biggest way It’s affected me. I’m pretty basic though when It comes to daily things. My usual routine is usually eating, sleeping, sending and responding to emails, & working out. Thankfully I’m able to do most If not all of those things at home so It’s not too much of a change but I definitely miss my reggae family!
